Weather Data Viewer Licensing Agreement — Embedding portions in derivative works

For software developers who want to use the data from the Weather Data Viewer (versions 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, or 2021) in software, ASHRAE offers a license for a fee of $2000. The agreement is subject to the conditions listed below. To request a license, complete the form below and click submit. Upon receipt of the agreement, ASHRAE will send an invoice to you. The licensing fee does not include the Weather Data Viewer product itself, which can be purchased through the online ASHRAE Bookstore.

1.1 The ASHRAE copyright will be clearly shown on the product along with the following attribution:

1.2 The software must specifically reference the Weather Data Viewer and the appropriate version number (4.0, 5.0, 6.0, or 2021) for which you hold the license for reuse.

1.3 Use of any portion of ASHRAE publications or products on the World Wide Web is not permitted without express written permission from ASHRAE. Additional license fees may apply.

1.4 Payment of a $2000 license fee to ASHRAE for a non-exclusive license to use text, tables and data from Weather Data Viewer version 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 or 2021.

1.5 ASHRAE ownership of the data must be noted in the software along with appropriate disclaimers affording protection to ASHRAE from use of the company’s software.

1.6 There is no implication in or on the work or in materials promoting the work that ASHRAE has endorsed, reviewed, or certified the product.

1.7 The work's license conditions prohibit redistribution of modified versions of the work or Weather Data Viewer Version 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 or 2021.

1.8 Upon receipt by ASHRAE of an executed copy of this agreement and payment of the license fee, this license will become effective.

The data are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the data is with you. In no event will ASHRAE be liable to you for any damages, including without limitation any lost profits, lost savings, or other incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the data.
