Daikin raises the rooftop on higher efficiencies for light commercial users with its new 3- to 5-ton packaged air conditioner (DTC), heat pump (DTH) and gas/electric (DTG) models. Driven by high-performing scroll compressors, these single-phase rooftop models reach cooling efficiencies up to 15.5 SEER and 13.0 EER, and heating efficiencies up to 81% AFUE (gas/electric) and 8.0 HSPF (heat pumps). Each unit is designed to ease installation and service by including a full-perimeter base rail and sloped drain pan. Other features include contactors with lugs, high- and low-pressure switches, high-capacity steel-cased filter driers and built-in filter rack for 2" filters. Ideal for open floorplan applications such as classrooms and offices. Provides excellent comfort, efficiency and flexibility due to input from three room sensors (occupancy, air temperature and surface temperature). Has 18 configurable airflow patterns and a built-in occupancy sensor to save energy and optimize comfort. An optional self-cleaning filter panel is also available.
